Education is not the delivery mechanism of this philosophy. It is its substance. The name says so plainly: the claim is not that more people should receive care, but that more people should be able to give it — and to teach it onward.
That distinction matters. A world with better hospitals is a world that has improved its service. A world where every person is competent is a world that has changed what a person is.
To know healthcare is to know freedom.
Written, argued, and deliberately attacked
The work began in 2024 as a set of arguments and has been developed since through manifesto, practice guide, and an adversarial layer in which twenty-eight schools of philosophy are invited to destroy it. Mill, Kant, Aristotle, Marx, Gilligan, Nozick, Foucault, Nietzsche, Buddhism, Confucianism and others each state their objection at full strength before any reply is offered.
That method is deliberate. A philosophy that has only been admired has not been tested. The objections are published alongside the claims, and where a reply is still weak it is marked as weak rather than hidden.
Aescalon, and an honest label
There is a founding story: Aescalon, a mortal healer granted in a vision the knowledge of healing — not for himself but for all humanity; the Codex of Life in which he set it down; the Sanctuaries, open to every class, where medicine was taught alongside ethics.
It is a parable. It was written for teaching, it may be rewritten, and it is not offered as history. The name echoes Asclepius deliberately.
The true stories are better anyway, and they are on the philosophy page: smallpox ended by ordinary people trained well enough to recognise a case; guinea worm carried to near-zero by village volunteers; Semmelweis, who found that doctors were killing mothers and was destroyed by his profession for saying so.
